THE “EUROFORMULA” VOLANT 2012

A THIRD EDITION TO KEEP THE TRADITION ALIVE

If one of the roles of a driving school is to spot new talent, the means also have to be there to achieve that goal. EUROFORMULA therefore decided in 2010 to organise a “Volant” in order to award a bursary to the winner.

One of the objectives was to perpetuate this “Volant” in France as, though there have been the bumper years when each school had their own, there are none in existence today. This 3rd edition of the “EUROFORMULA VOLANT” will keep the tradition alive.

To take part in the EUROFORMULA VOLANT 2012 selections, the students must not have been classed in the first 3 of any national or international single seater, prototype or bucket seat championship in the last three years.

The initial inscription fee is € 1,550 and, for the semi-finalists only,  there will be an additional € 990.

The new twist this year is to open the “EUROFORMULA VOLANT” 2012 to rally drivers. For them we will offer specifically designed courses as more and more of the great drivers in this discipline are turning to the single-seater to improve their driving techniques.

The “EUROFORMULA VOLANT” will take place in four sessions of two days from April to September, bringing 8 to 12 drivers together, with intensive training on single seaters, and this will enable us to select 8 to 12 drivers who will take part in the semi-final on the La Châtre circuit.

The top 5 will be up against each other in the final and the winner will be awarded the € 60,000 BURSARY, a RALF TECH watch and all the P1 ADVANCED RACEWEAR branded driver equipment in which to take part in a circuit or rally championship of their choice.

They will enter the hall of fame along with Paul Loup CHATIN and Simon GACHET, the two previous winners, whose performances we will be following with great interest throughout the season.
