Hi-Rev Racing unveils 2018 Race line-up

HI-REV Racing unveils its 2018 satellite teams namely HI-REV SCK Racing Team, HI-REV JOBARU PIAWW Racing Team and HI-REV Dream Chaser Racing Team, alongside their race machines which sport striking and distinctive new colour schemes.

The unveiling ceremony took place at Genting Highlands in conjunction with HI-REV dealers Family day. Present at the event were HI-REV general manager, Ms. Valerie Poon, Team Principals, Mr. Soong Chee Kiong (SCK), Encik Md Sees (JOBARU PIAWW) and Mr. CY Ong (Dream Chaser). Two promising youngsters, Adam Khalid and Danial Bogers from the HI-REV’s young talent program were also present to liven up the event.

The 2018 season is a particularly exciting one for HI-REV as it marks the brand’s ‘return to the race track’ in both the cars and motorcycles categaories.

HI-REV will be entering 13 motorcycles and 2 cars in total for the Asia Road Racing Championship 2018, Malaysian Cup Prix Championship 2018, Malaysia Superbike Championship 2018, MSF Superbikes 2018, King of 2T 2018, MSF Racing Series 2018 and Malaysia Championship Series (MCS) 2018.

SCK Rapido HI-REV Honda Racing Team started off Round 1 of the Asia Road Racing Championship 2018 in March with an impressive 1^st place in the Underbone 150 Series in Thailand and in June clinched another 1^st for the same category in Japan on a Honda RS150. In 2017, HI-REV’s first year with SCK Racing, it finished 1^st in Malaysia, Japan and India, securing three wins out of six rounds in the Asia Road Racing Championship.

For the MSF Racing Series, HI-REV will be entering two Protons. A Proton Saga and a Proton Satria Neo. The Proton Saga is competing in the Saga Cup while the Satria Neo will be in the Race Car 1600 class. The Proton Satria Neo will also race in the Malaysia Championship Series (MCS) 2018.

The Malaysia Superbike Championship saw HI-REV competing in most of the classes and has bagged several podiums finishes. In Round 1, they got a 1^st in the Superstock, 2^nd and 3^rd place in the Supersport and a 2^nd place in the Super 250. Danial Bogers is currently 2^nd in the Super 250 Championship while SCK Rapido HI-REV Honda Racing Team riders are in the 1^st and 3^rd position in the Supersport Championship.

In the new MSF Superbike Series race HI-REV is entering 2 Kawasaki Ninjas 250R in the line-up for the Super 400 Class, while in the King of 2T Championship which is slated to start in August 2018, HI-REV will be competing with 3 Kawasaki KIPS 150RR in the 2-stroke motorcycle category.

At the event, HI-REV also unveiled its latest premium performance lubricant – TorQe PRO Premium Motor Oil for high performance cars.
