The 2026 MotoMini Malaysia Championship is set to become even more competitive as the country’s best young riders return to action for Round 2 at Horizon Beranang Circuit from 19 to 21 June. Following a dramatic opening round at LYL International Circuit last month, the battle for the overall championship standings is already beginning to reveal the riders most likely to challenge for this season’s titles.
The spotlight will undoubtedly be on the MotoMini Malaysia 190cc category, where Qasha Irfan Azlan arrives in Beranang as the championship leader after securing a double victory in the opening round and collecting the maximum 50 points. The Team 4 Racing rider has demonstrated exceptional ability by immediately making his mark despite stepping up to the 190cc category this season and now finds himself as the benchmark for his rivals, including Qayyim Razin and Malek Ridha, who currently occupy second and third place respectively.
In the 160cc category, defending champion Al-Adam Mikail of Scooter.my ZNEXLAB IGOL Racing Team is once again expected to be the rider to beat after dominating the opening round with two victories and a maximum haul of 50 points. However, Al-Adam is likely to face stronger challenges this time from Aryan Mikhail of Team 4 Racing, as well as Rayqarl Alhayy (Scooter.my ZNEXLAB IGOL Racing Team) and Qaish Isyraf (JRQR Racing Team), all of whom will be eager to close the gap in the championship standings before the season reaches its midway point.
The SIC Ohvale Junior category has also attracted considerable attention, with the championship’s youngest rider, seven-year-old Haqim Al Mahdi, continuing to impress after dominating both races in the opening round. The HF MotoMini Team rider will face renewed challenges from 11-year-old Wan Adra Mikayla of Team 4 Racing and Aqeef Darwish of H&H Soya Cincau MotoMini, both of whom will be determined to end Haqim’s winning streak at Horizon Beranang.
Meanwhile, the RCB MotoKidz category is expected to provide some of the closest racing of the weekend, with the overall standings still wide open and several riders separated by only a small margin of points. Championship leader Wan Ayden Maleeq is expected to face stiff competition from Wan Faith Mikael, Adam Harris, Emyr Asyhman and Al Fateh Iskandar, all of whom remain well within contention to shake up the standings.
Beyond the battle for championship points, Round 2 will also serve as an important opportunity for all riders to improve their lap times and demonstrate the progress made during the break following the opening round. Following the encouraging performances seen in Round 1, MotoMini Malaysia 2026 continues to reinforce its status as one of the country’s most important rider development platforms, helping to nurture the next generation of Malaysian talent capable of competing on the international stage in the future.
