LAMBORGHINI BLANCPAIN SUPER TROFEO ASIA SERIES ROUND 3 QUALIFYING 1 & 2

The track was drying up after the Formula Masters China Series Race 1, Hong Kong Touring car Qualifying 1 and VW Scirocco R-Cup China Series Qualifying 1 & 2, but when it comes to the start of the Lamborghini Qualifying, rain started to drizzle and after not more than 6 laps, all the cars came in to change their slick tires to wet tires.

It was treacherous out there with few cars spinning out of control and times dropped as the rain got bigger. Dilantha went in for Q1 in a new set of slicks and drove 5 laps securing 5th position on the grid with a time of 1:53.858 with an average speed of 133.050 km/h. Zen was next for Q2 and unfortunately for him, rain starts to pour and he needed to change the slicks to wet tires. Zen drove a difficult and grip challenging 6 laps with an average speed of 128.067 securing 7th position on the grid with a time of 1:58.288. As rain came pouring, none of the drivers could further improve their time.
