HONG LEONG YAMAHA MOTOR INTRODUCES THE NEW WORLD GP 60TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF YAMAHA Y16ZR. LIMITED TO 5,000 UNITS ONLY.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor is excited to announce the new World GP 60^th Anniversary edition of its Yamaha Y16ZR. A limited number of 5,000 units only of the special edition Yamaha Y16ZR will be produced.

This limited edition model comes with a premium box set which contains an appreciation certificate, along with a World GP 60^th Anniversary Premium Tumbler, a limited edition pin, and a premium keychain for every new model purchased.

“The new World GP 60^th Anniversary edition of the Yamaha Y16ZR is a limited edition model to commemorate our 60 years of racing excellence in the World GP. We hope we are able to give our customers the opportunity to celebrate our long history of racing excellence and a sense of privilege by owning the premium gift set that comes along with it,” said Dato’ Dr Jim Khor, Group Managing Director of Hong Leong Industries Berhad during the introduction.

The World GP 60^th Anniversary edition of the Y16ZR comes with the iconic red and white livery colour scheme to further accentuate its already sporty look. It also features gold-coloured sport rims on its front and rear wheels and a special 60^th Anniversary emblem on the Y16ZR for a more premium showcase of the bike.

The Y16ZR is equipped with a cutting edge, all-new and powerful liquid-cooled 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC 155cc engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This engine is linked to a new 6-speed gearbox that produces different ignition mapping for each gear, capable of pushing 17.7 hp @ 9,500 rpm and a top torque of 14.4 Nm @ 8,000 rpm.

As in many of Yamaha’s latest models, the Y16ZR model also comes with the Assist and Slipper Clutch system that helps reduce the clutch level load, allowing the ease of gear changing during downshifting.

Together with the launch of the bike, a series of World GP 60^th Anniversary collection apparel are also available in the Genblu Online Shop for customers who are interested to match their style along with their new bike.

The new World GP 60^th Anniversary Edition of Yamaha Y16ZR will be available at all authorised Yamaha dealers nationwide from 8^th April 2022 onwards and is priced at a recommended retail price (RRP) of RM 11,688.00 excluding registration fees and insurance coverage. In addition to this, every new owner of this model will receive a safety disc lock with their purchase.
