Didi Group, official distributor of the Vespa brand in Malaysia today introduced the new Vespa GTS 300. The “UNSTOPPABLE GREATNESS” is a tribute to grandeur Vespa GTS, an ever-changing masterpiece, and the greatness of success and lifestyle. The style of Vespa is an icon of modern design and the new GTS family highlights this, thanks in part to a range of no fewer than twelve different colour schemes available. The elegance is the result of a magical balance between tradition and modernity that comesout in the lines of the GTS, painstakingly refined down to the smallest detail, and a construction quality elevated to unprecedented levels. The new Vespa GTS range comes packed with standard equipment and includes two versions, each of which has its own particular spirit: the sporty GTS SuperSport, and the ultra-technological Vespa GTS SuperTech.
Both are available with super modern powerplants: the 300 hpe (High Performance Engine), fruit of the latest Piaggio Group technology, which aims to create engines that are increasingly more technologically advanced and efficient in terms of limiting emissions and consumption.
The body of the new GTS family, as has always been the case throughout Vespa history, is made strictly of steel: a sustainable material because it is 100% recyclable which guarantees unrivalled strength as well as truly unique safety and dynamism. This body, which is a Vespa worldwide exclusive, is now paired with an entirely new front suspension. Maintaining the traditional, single-arm layout, the system has been redesigned in terms of functionality to guarantee greater stability, especially at high speeds, and to improve comfort and handling, thanks to the new suspension calibration. Designed, as always, around the human body, Vespa boasts ideal ergonomics and a naturalriding position that helps make it extremely comfortable, enjoyable to ride and accessible to everyone. The new Vespa GTS further highlights the strong touring and even travelling vocation which large Vespas have always embodied, offering a new seat with a superior comfort level even for the passenger and optimized ergonomics for easy footing on theground at a standstill.
And with Vespa GTS, practicality and ease of use take another step forward with the introduction of the keyless system to activate the ignition without having to insert the traditional key, streamlining the operations of starting the engine, opening the seat, and locking the steering column, all of which can be done with the remote control conveniently in your pocket.
The SuperTech version confirms the ultra-modern TFT colour display, whereas new instrumentation makes its début on all the other versions, unchanged in style and elegance, but completer and more capable of fully exploiting the potential of the VESPA MIAconnectivity system, standard equipment on the SuperTech and the SuperSport andavailable as an optional accessory for the other packages.
Versions and colours
Riding a Vespa means expressing a unique personality and appreciating values such as charm, elegance, freshness and freedom. And this is why the two versions making up the new Vespa GTS range take on even more defined characterisation, with four very distinct spirits that can reflect the lifestyle of the rider.
Vespa GTS SuperSport is the height of Vespa sporty attitude, its high performance, bold character clear from the graphite coloured rims with dedicated graphics and the many black details, starting with the profile that runs along the perimeter of the body. The typical steering cover on the shield presents a brand-new carbon look finish and is made more aggressive with neon orange decorations. The black saddle stands out for its horizontal heat sealing and double stitching in contrasting neon orange. Four available colours are enhanced with new dedicated graphics, gloss shades Orange Tramonto AX and White Innocenza BR and the matte Black Opaco Matt NS, Green Olive Matt V06.
Vespa GTS SuperTech is the top-of-line Vespa GTS model, combining the ultimate sports attitude with cutting-edge technology. Aesthetically, it stands out for its distinctive satin chrome grey finishes, its graphite coloured wheel rims with diamond finish, and its shades with dedicated graphics, Grey Quarzo Matt G27 and Blue Deep D13. Other original contrasting elements include the steering cover decorations and the front shock spring painted in neon green. Even the saddle flaunts a “hi-tech” finish, with double upholstery and two-colour seams with neon green sections.
The Vespa GTS 300 range is now available to all market, selling price for Vespa GTS 300 SuperSport from RM32,900 and Vespa GTS 300 SuperTech starts from RM36,900.
