Daju Motors Sdn Bhd, the main local distributor of TVS motorcycles in Malaysia had a soft launch of the TVS Neo X3i, a 4-stroke 110 cc model and the sports TVS Apache RTR200 4V Race Edition 2.0.
For those who are not familiar with the brand TVS, TVS Motor Company is a multinational motorcycle company headquartered at Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. It is the third largest motorcycle company in India with an annual sales of over 3 million units and an annual capacity of over 4 million vehicles, from motorcycles, Moped, Scooter to three-wheeler sold in over 26 countries.
The Neo X3i first launched in Indonesia back in 2017 is TVS best-selling model to-date. It did not make much of an impression as it looks just like any other under-bone motorcycle in the market today. But I was totally impressed during the product brief. This Neo comes equipped with technology that you do not get nor find in any other motorcycle of its class. It has what TVS called the Four I. 1. I-Econo – which control fuel for optimum efficiency. This is done through the throttle sensor that optimizes the ignition. 2. I-Start – This ensure faster engine warm-up. 3. I-Charge – A mobile charging port or rather a cigarette lighter socket. And 4. I-Space – 8.7 liters of space below the seat for storage.
Neo X3i has 4 color combination to choose from. Blue-Black, Red-Black, Orange-Black and Green-Black. While we hope to secure a test ride to give you readers a comprehensive report on its overall performance, here are its specifications for your preliminary consideration:

TVS APACHE RTR200 4V RACE EDITION 2.0
This race edition comes with a first in its segment, an Anti-Reverse Torque Slipper clutch. A system where the rider is able to up-shift and down-shift without squeezing the clutch, other than when you are engaging into first from neutral. It has LED lamps in front and back, a full digital speedometer that comes with lap timer, top speed recorder and service reminder. Those are some innovative features for a motorcycle of its class.
The engine is from race-derived O3C technology where oil-cooled combustion chamber and ram air-assisted cooling reduces the engine heat map by 10℃. The piston is coated with Nanofriks which TVS claimed is more durable and heat resistant that conventional piston.
Some of the renowned partners TVS collaborated with include BOSCH for its fuel injection, KAYABA for its rear mono-shock suspension and Pirelli for its tires. The Apache RTR200 comes in Black, Red, White, Grey and Matte Black.
