TQ WULING Celebrates First Customer Deliveries of Bingo EV, Raises Safety Benchmark with Added Standard ADAS.

TQ WULING today marked another major milestone with the official delivery of the first batch of locally assembled Bingo electric vehicles (EVs) to Malaysian customers, celebrating the brand’s transition from market introduction to real-world ownership.

The handover ceremony reflects strong early demand and growing consumer confidence, as the first group of owners takes possession of their vehicles and forms the foundation of TQ WULING’s ownership community in Malaysia. From initial interest to keys in hand, the moment signals a new chapter for both the brand and its customers.

Early customers cited practicality, value and peace of mind as key factors in their purchase decisions. One owner shared that the Bingo EV’s ease of driving and everyday usability made it a natural fit for urban life. “I was drawn to the retro-modern design of the TQ WULING Bingo EV from the start. After the test drive, I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive and easy it is to drive in the city. Beyond the looks, knowing that the maintenance support is there gives me real peace of mind. Another customer highlighted the model’s strong value proposition alongside confidence in Tan Chong’s heritage. “Since receiving our TQ WULING Bingo EV, we’ve enjoyed it very much. Standard ADAS enhances everyday safety for all owners

Coinciding with the first customer deliveries, TQ WULING also announced that the locally assembled Bingo EV now comes standard with key Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features across both variants. This ensures that every customer, starting from the very first unit delivered, benefits from the same level of intelligent safety and driver support.

The ADAS suite includes Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Collision Warning, Low-Speed Pedestrian Warning, Door Opening Warning, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, rain-sensing auto wipers, walk-away auto lock and unlock, and impact-sensing automatic door unlock.

In addition, the Bingo EV is built with high-tensile steel for enhanced structural strength and is equipped with six airbags, with Malaysia being the first market to receive this enhanced airbag configuration. Together, these features elevate the model’s overall safety and value proposition, reinforcing TQ WULING’s commitment to delivering accessible electric mobility without compromising on protection.

Smart urban design, engineered for everyday use

Locally assembled in Malaysia at Tan Chong Group’s manufacturing facility in Segambut, the Bingo EV offers a modern-retro exterior design for practical urban mobility, combining compact dimensions with functional interior space. Practicality is further enhanced with 15 storage compartments and a flexible boot capacity of up to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded.

Inside, a distinctive floating-island centre console integrates dual 10.25-inch digital displays with Android Auto and Apple Carplay functionality, while youthful exterior colours – Milky White, Neon Blue and Lavender Purple with a contrasting black roof – reinforce its contemporary appeal.

The Bingo PRO offers a driving range of up to 333 km (CLTC), while the Bingo MAX delivers up to 410 km (CLTC) on a single charge.

Proven battery safety and reliability

Powering the Bingo EV is SGM-Wuling’s proprietary MAGIC EV Battery, engineered under an ultra-high-standard battery safety system.

Extensively tested under extreme conditions — including impact, compression, fire exposure, water immersion and thermal stress — the battery is designed for durability and long-term reliability. It carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and is backed by a global track record of zero fire or explosion incidents across more than three million Wuling EVs sold worldwide, delivering added peace of mind for everyday driving.

Customers are currently supported by six dedicated TQ WULING showrooms located in Glenmarie, Selangor, as well as Jalan Raja Laut, OUG and Melati Utama in Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth in Pulau Pinang, and Johor Jaya in Johor Bahru. The Bingo EV is available for test drives as all six showrooms.
