The six models introduced range from high performance, urban lifestyle, dual-purpose and mid-range street machines.

Below are the detail information for all the models currently being offered by Suzuki Malaysia.

GSX-R1000/GSX-R1000R

  • RM99,289.00 and RM110,289.00 (suggested retail price without insurance and registration)
  • Metallic Triton Blue / Metallic Mystic Silver (GSX-R1000R only)
  • Metallic Matte Black (GSX-R1000/GSX-R1000R)

Racing pedigree is strong in the GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R which is more compact and has a lighter engine with class-leading power capable of delivering power across a broad rpm range.

With a reworked aerodynamics package, the twin-spar aluminum frame is now lighter and more compact than the previous generation with the frame’s adjustable swing arm pivots enabling riders and racers to tune the chassis for race track performance. Even its LCD multifunction instrument panel is heavily-inspired by the GSX-RR MotoGP dash.

The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R’s compact, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 999.8cc, inline-four-cylinder engine is designed with a high level of top-end performance plus strong low- to mid-range power. Key enhancements to the 2021 model include a 76.0mm bore x 55.1mm stroke that is narrower than the prior generation; and the engine rotated back and positioned in the frame to create optimal chassis

dimensions for precise handling and to balance the motorcycle’s weight. The GSX-R1000 and GSX- R1000R also features Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing System (SR-VVT) to increase high engine rpm power without losing low- to mid-range power.

Featuring a six-speed close-ratio transmission, the motorcycle has a lower primary gear ratio compared to its predecessor for stronger acceleration. The cassette-style transmission meanwhile, give riders the flexibility to precisely match the gear ratio to their riding condition, and is easily removed to facilitate gear changes for the race track. Both the GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are equipped with the Suzuki Bi- Directional Quick Shift System that allows for clutchless up shifts and down shifts when the motorcycle is used in competition. In addition, the shift linkage can also be easily set up for reverse pattern, enabling GP-style shifting even with the quick-shifter in use. A programmable shift light on the main instrument panel meanwhile, sends out a visual alert to the rider to shift when a certain engine rpm is reached.

The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are further equipped with the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) multi- plate, wet clutch which acts as a slipper clutch during downshifts and increases pressure on the plates during acceleration to smoothen engine braking and lighten the clutch lever pull. Other advanced electronic rider aids exclusive to the GSX-R1000R include launch control and a motion track brake system to increase street and race track performance.

Advanced Showa Balance Free Front Fork (BFF) and rear suspension reaffirms the GSX-R1000 and GSX- R1000R’s outright performance, with optimum stopping power coming from Brembo four-piston, radial- mount front brake calipers and an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS).

KATANA (GSX-S1000S)

  • RM77,989.00 (suggested retail price without insurance and registration)
  • Metallic Mystic Silver
  • Glass Sparkle Black

There cannot be a more iconic motorcycle than the Katana. The 2021 and latest reincarnation of the Katana honors its predecessor that had created an overwhelming sensation with its radical styling and invoked the spirit of the traditional Japanese sword of the Samurai when it was first introduced in 1981.

Built upon the extraordinary performance of the GSX-R1000 engine and the proven stability of the GSX- S1000 chassis, the modern Katana is a bold expression of both excellence in styling and performance, designed to deliver an exciting riding experience. Craftsmanship of the Katana, like the making of the sword it is said, was the result of dedication to detailed execution in the design, manufacturing and finishing of every component seamlessly blending the strict traditions of the past with the expectations of today’s state-of-the-art technology.

Paying homage to the original design, the Katana’s pronounced bodywork rests upon a twin-spar, aluminum alloy frame, and Superbike-type braced swing arm to provide great road holding performance. Its front appearance is punctuated by a sharp face with LED headlight and LED front position lights, while in the rear LED combination lights complete a clean and simplistic design. The Katana also features a multifunction instrument cluster.

It is powered by a 147-horsepower (110kw) liquid-cooled 999cc inline-four engine with a long-stroke configuration to infuse smooth throttle response and immediate as well as controlled acceleration for a more fulfilling ride. Like the GSX-R1000R, it also features a Clutch Assist System (SCAS) drive line for smooth shifting and engine braking.

Suzuki’s Advanced Traction Control System meanwhile, offer riders four distinct modes (1, 2, 3, and OFF) that can be adjusted while stationary or on the fly via a handlebar-mounted control. Control, comfort and maneuverability are also enhanced with a fully adjustable inverted front fork. Stopping power comes in the form of dual floating front brake rotors and Brembo Monobloc brake calipers, assisted by an Anti- lock Brake System (ABS).

GSX-S750

  • RM40,989.00 (suggested retail price without insurance and registration)
  • Metallic Triton Blue / Glass Sparkle Black
  • Metallic Oort Gray / Glass Sparkle Black

The GSX-S750 sports aggressive styling and posture with its street-fighter inspired bodywork, and powered by a torque-rich fuel-injected 749cc four-cylinder engine, distinguishing itself as one of the best value for money middle weight performance motorcycles in its class on the market.

The motorcycle’s architecture draws from Suzuki’s racing experience in MotoGP and the brand’s 30-year heritage of the GSX-R750. Its unique chassis integrates the best qualities of a tubular girder street bike frame and a twin-spar sport bike frame, and is fitted with KYB suspension to provide precise handling.

Engine upgrades include throttle bodies with Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) system that has been designed to unleash better throttle response and torque at the low- to mid-rpm range, while still producing peak performance. Specially-designed camshafts meanwhile, deliver a dynamic wave of smooth torque and strong acceleration. Combined with the use of a race-proven, six-speed, close-ratio transmission, the GSX-S750 accelerates quicker than its predecessor yet maintains the same top speed.

The GSX-S750 is also equipped with Suzuki Advanced Traction Control offering four modes of riding (1, 2, 3, and OFF) with changes easily adjustable via a handlebar-mounted control. Braking performance is enhanced with the use of front Nissin Monobloc, four-piston brake calipers and twin, wave-style brake rotors with Anti-lock Brake System (ABS).

  • STROM 650XT
    • RM37,989.00 (suggested retail price without insurance and registration)
    • Candy Daring Red / Glass Sparkle Black
    • Champion Yellow

Reminiscent of Suzuki’s iconic DR-BIG rally motorcycle, the V-Strom 650XT builds on versatility, reliability, durability and value created for the rider seeking out an adventure both on and off road.

The latest generation V-Strom 650XT is both lighter at 216kg, and more maneuverable, powered by a liquid-cooled, 645cc, 90-degree, V-twin engine that delivers strong torque in the low- to-mid rpm range, and an even stronger rush in high rpm power via a six-speed transmission. The motorcycle is also

equipped with Suzuki’s Advanced Traction Control System, an Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist feature, and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS).

With a subtle and unimposing fairing design, the V-Strom 650XT’s touring-ready trim features vertically stacked headlights, a three-way adjustable windshield, a combination of an analog tachometer and digital speedometer for enhanced visibility, a DC charging outlet, hand guards, a protective lower engine cowl, wire-spoked tubeless wheels and a 20-litre fuel capacity. The V-Strom 650XT also sports 170mm ground clearance, and its strong and light chassis is built with integrated mount points for luggage that is designed to easily clip on and off.

SV650

  • RM37,289.00 (suggested retail price without insurance and registration)
  • Pearl Brilliant White / Glass Sparkle Black

A lighter chassis, a sportier personality and a spirited 645cc engine defines Suzuki’s all-new SV650 middleweight contender. Since making its debut in 1999, the SV650 has continually evolved to build on its sporty personality, and the latest generation promises not only an even more exciting ride but an outstanding performance.

The SV650 continues to build upon a trellis-style frame constructed of high-strength steel tubes for lower weight and rigidity coupled with slim bodywork to provide a visually stunning motorcycle. Suzuki engineers also repositioned the SV650’s muffler to further increase lean angle when cornering.

Powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 90-degree, dual spark, V-Twin 645cc engine, the SV650 achieves perfect primary balance to smoothly pull away with authority from idle up to its 10,000 rpm redline. The new engine also produces greater efficiency, better fuel economy, and cleaner emissions. An advanced

electronic fuel injection system which includes Suzuki’s Low RPM Assist feature seamlessly adjusts engine speed during take-off and low-speed running for smoother power delivery and optimum combustion

efficiency. The motorcycle’s close-ratio six-speed transmission meanwhile, makes the SV650 extremely adept for commuting or spirited riding.

The SV650 features dual four-piston Tokico front brake calipers with 290mm fully floating stainless-steel rotors and is equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) for great stopping performance.

The above 6 models are available at Suzuki Big Bike World while Suzuki Station Plus will have GSX-S750, V-Strom 650XT and SV650. Suzuki motorcycles come with a 2-year or 20,000km standard warranty (whichever come first).
