Sime Darby Motors Completes BYD SEAL Line-Up and enhances BYD ATTO 3.

With the successful introduction of the BYD SEAL earlier this year, and over 2,200 units registered as of the end of August 2024, Sime Darby Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, has unveiled the new BYD SEAL Dynamic variant, adding to the existing Premium and Performance variants. This latest introduction completes a full lineup of three BYD SEAL variants, offering a wider range of options for Malaysian customers.

The BYD SEAL Dynamic RWD is available in two colour options, Cosmos Black and Aurora White. The Dynamic RWD variant also includes the comprehensive ADAS suite and a high-resolution 360-degree camera system, which are standard across the entire BYD SEAL range, providing added security and confidence for drivers while the 50:50 front and rear axle load distribution ensures optimal performance in varying driving conditions.

Powered by a 61.44 kWh LFP Blade battery pack, the Dynamic RWD delivers an impressive 201 HP and 310 Nm of torque, achieving a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 7.5 seconds. The Dynamic variant offers a range of 510 km under the NEDC cycle, making it an accessible option for both daily commutes and long-distance drives. In comparison, the Premium variant delivers 650 km, while the Performance variant offers 580 km. This latest variant supports DC charging inputs up to 110 kW and also features vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, further enhancing its performance and efficiency. With a spacious interior that includes 400L of boot space and an additional 50L in the front trunk, providing a total of 450L of cargo capacity, the BYD SEAL Dynamic RWD seamlessly combines practicality with cutting-edge technology. The Dynamic variant is equipped with 225/50 R18 tyres, slightly different from the Premium and Performance variants, which use 235/45 R19 tyres. Additionally, the Dynamic variant features a unique rim design.

Alongside the launch of the BYD SEAL Dynamic RWD, the new BYD ATTO 3 has been enhanced with several features, including an increased battery size of 60.48 kWh, which extends the driving range to 480 km under the NEDC cycle and improves its 0-100 km/h acceleration time to just 7.3 seconds. For the first 300 bookings of the new BYD ATTO 3 will come with Wallbox Home Charger, 3 Years Service Package and 4 Years Free Road Tax.
