Shell renews Technical Partnership with Ducati
Shell is proud to announce that it is extending its Technical Partnership with Ducati for a further three years, until at least the end of 2016. The extension means the two parties will continue to co-operate on marketing activities and the supply of Shell Advance motorcycle oil for the first-fill of Ducati road bikes at the Borgo Panigale factory. Importantly, the Technical Partnership also enables collaboration on research and development, including the development of bespoke products for the MotoGP teams – the Ducati Team and the officially supported Pramac Racing Team.
Shell embarked on its Technical Partnership with Ducati in 1999 in the World Superbike Championship and then entered the MotoGP World Championship as a key technology partner of the Ducati MotoGP team. The past 15 years have seen the Technical Partnership become one of the strongest and most successful within the motorcycle racing world, with successes including six World Superbike Riders’ Titles and nine Manufacturers’ Titles, along with the MotoGP Riders’ World Championship and Constructors’ World Championship Titles in 2007.
