Mercedes-Benz A200 Limousine Progressive Line & A250 Limousine AMG Line launch.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recently launched 2 A-Class Limousine models, the A200 Progressive line and the A250 AMG line. To the curiosity of the guests and journalists in attendance at the launch that day on why Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) refers to these 2 A-Class models as limousines when it does not appear to look even close to one. Is MBM trying to re-define the concept of a limousine? The reason given was, to give the market an alternative for those who find the S-Class too big or bulky and also to appeal to those younger generation who are looking for some exclusivity that they do not find in a hatch back or a sedan.

Both these models look like a stretched out A200 Progressive Line hatch & the A250 AMG line hatch. While the front end still looks pretty much the same as the hatch back, the rear has a boot and a more rounded rear lights.

For performance and comfort, we shall wait when we get the chance to test both the models.

Selling price for the A200 Progressive line is RM229,888.00 while the A250 AMG line is going for RM267,888.00
