Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is delighted to announce Yokohama as the Official Tire Partner and BHPetrol as the Official Fuel Partner for the Malaysia Championship Series (MCS) 2021.

The much-awaited four-wheel event will be held in a doubleheader format. The season opener, Round 1 and 2 scheduled on 10 – 12 November 2021 while Round 3 and 4 are scheduled on 14 – 16 December 2021.

Same as previous, this year MCS runs the T Production (Touring Production) for production cars above 2000cc, Malaysia Touring Car (M Production) for the 1600cc modified class, Stock Production 1 (SP1) for cars 2000cc and Stock Production 2 (SP2) for cars below 1600cc.

The race format for MCS 2021 has been upgraded. From using race ballast, now switch to additional pit stop time. Meaning, Podium cars in Race 1 will have additional time added to the original pit stop window. Championship ballast still remains. Top 3 Championship leaders after Round 1 (Race 1 and 2) need to carry Championship ballast for Race 3 and 4 in Round 2.

Free entrance at the Main Grandstand for fans that have been fully vaccinated. Catch the three-day action live on SIC Facebook pages. Join us to witness the Malaysian heroes and who will emerge champions of the MCS 2021.

As a responsible venue provider, we are committed to adhering to all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and guidelines imposed by the National Security Council (MKN) to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Chief Executive Officer of SIC, Azhan Shafriman Hanif said,” After a long-break, we are thrilled to be hosting the Malaysia Championship Series with a double header format. With the recent SOP relaxation in Phase 4, fans can opt watch the race live at the main grandstand. However, we should be mindful of the SOP – facemask should be worn at all times and maintain social distance.”

“I would like to thank the National Security Council (MKN), Ministry of Health (KKM), Ministry of Youth & Sports (KBS) and Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) for their unwavering support towards motorsports events and activities. To the drivers & participating teams, all the best and race well.”
