Kawasaki Safety & Responsible Riding Course (KSRR)
Kawasaki Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KMSB) launched a new program called the “Kawasaki Safety & Responsible Riding” (KSRR) course on the 20th December 2017at Sepang International Kart Circuit. This program is the first ever to be organized by KMSB in collaboration with its principal, Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd (KHI) and K-TEC Corporation, Japan to provide opportunity for Kawasaki owners to be exposed to the aspect of safety and responsible riding in both theory and practical.
This program is aimed to bring awareness on safety and KMSB believes it will help to contribute to the reduction of road accidents involving motorcycles. This is in-line with the government’s and related agencies such as JPJ, JKJR, PDRM and others in their effort to reduce road accidents, the majority of which involve motorcyclists. This motorcycle safety course is designed for both new and seasoned riders, teaching them on the finer points on how to handle their bike safely and responsibly, operating a motorcycle safely as well as having the necessary physical and mental skills when riding a motorcycle.
The local instructors are trained and certified by professional trainers from K-TEC and Kawasaki Japan. The KSRR course outline involves both classroom and practical session. Some of the lessons the “students” are going to learn include “Blind Spot in riding”, “Hazard Prediction”, “Bike Inspection”, “Riding Position”, “Braking Technique”, “Slalom” , “Cornering”, “Leaning Position” and more.
KMSB “Rideology” concept and rider training services at Kawasaki Safety and Responsible riding course will enhance all Kawasaki new and current customers their riding techniques for a safer and enjoyable experience on their Kawasaki motorcycles.
Participants attending the 1-day basic KSRR course will be required to use their own motorcycle that is both licensed and insured. Proper safety gears such as riding jacket, riding pants, helmet, riding gloves and shoes are required in order to participate in this course.
The KSRR course is being offered for free at this moment and “students” are selected from Kawasaki authorized dealers’ customers database. This course will take place 2 – 4 times every month in the Klang valley. There are plans to expand KSRR to both the northern and southern region probably by the 2nd half of 2018.
