In conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year and a long holidays for many, there is going to be a huge exodus of people traveling back to their respective hometowns, either via cars, bikes or public transportation. This is when accident statistics goes up and people not only get injured but worst of all lost their precious lives.
Kawasaki Motors Malaysia together with its partners got together to run a road safety campaign themed “Clearly Seen, Ride Safe” at the south bound Sungai Besi toll car park. A large number of motorcyclists queued for the helmet exchange booth where they can exchange their worn-out helmet for a new one courtesy of KHI helmets. Kawasaki team were on hands to give out free 16-points inspection to all motorcycles regardless of their make or brand. This ensures that the riders have a road worthy machine to ride home to safely.
This campaign was officiated by the Road Transport Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, in the presence of Road Transport Department (RTD) director-general, Datuk Seri Nadzri Siron, Kawasaki Motors Malaysia Executive Chairman En. Ahmad Faez, General Manager, Datuk Jeffrey Lim and Malaysia Motorcycle and Scooter Association Chairman Mr. Wee Hong.
