The Latest championship-winning Kawasaki Ninja arrived in Malaysian shore.
Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd unveiled today, after much anticipation the iconic Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. Both the superbikes retain the iconic Ninja’s silhouette but received significant upgrades to further enhance its performance and handling.
These latest models were officiated by En. Ahmad Faez Bin Tan Sri Yahaya, executive Chairman of Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and YBhg. Dato’ Jeffrey Lim Chee Sing, General Manager & Director of Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor show (KLIM) today.
The ZX-10RR is a limited-edition superbike where only 500 units will be made available worldwide. It is the closest one can get to owning a World Superbike Championship race bike ridden by Jonathan Rea, the current world superbike champion.
The 2019 Ninja ZX-10RR comes with a tailor-made titanium connecting rods that benefit both engine and chassis performance. The lighter connecting rods contribute to reducing the crankshaft’s moment of inertia by 5%. In addition to benefiting engine response and handling, it makes it much easier for riders to weight the front wheel on corner entry.
Suspension settings are fine-tuned to ensure smooth weight transfer during deceleration and acceleration on the circuit. Complementing the forged Marchesini 7-spoked wheels are a set of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R on the other hand comes with the iconic 636cc powerplant but with an increase low and mid-range torque. It also features a new gearing that delivers stronger low-end response. Other goodies that come with this Supersport class include Traction Control, supersport-grade brake management, selectable power modes, quick shifter and a new multi-function instrumentation. Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) is now a standard feature, allowing clutchless upshifts to add to the thrill of sport riding.
This new ZX-6R is now equipped with Twin LED headlamps and rear LED taillight inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R. Last but not least, the clutch lever now comes with 5 adjustable settings.
Price announced today for the Ninja ZX-10RR is RM159,900.00 available sometime in late March or April 2019.
