Kawasaki Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KMSB) got all its staff together today for a very meaningful bonding session, by cooking 4 huge pots of “Bubur Lambuk”, a popular Malaysian Spiced congee that is serve during the month of Ramadan or fasting month. This special congee is cooked using Spritzer water, Japanese rice, various types of spices like aniseed, cloves, star anise, black pepper and includes egg, dried shrimp, onion, garlic and salt. In addition, pandan leaves, parsley, green onions and fried onions are use to create this bubur lambuk’s appealing aroma.
In all, there were over 2,000 packets of congee that were made available to be distributed to 4 orphanages, the local police force, firefighters and local mosques. According to Dato’ Jeffrey Lim, General Manager and Director of KMSB, this is the second successive year KMSB has been organizing this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and it not only brought all the staffs closer together by them playing a big part in giving back to the society, it also brought happiness and satisfaction to the kids in the orphanage. Also as a “Thank you” to the police and firefighters personnel for their hard work and sacrifices.
