Jaguar All-Electric I-PACE Debuts in the Malaysian EV Market

Accelerating its aim to shape the future of mobility, Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia today officially launched the Jaguar I-PACE, Jaguar’s first premium all-electric performance sports utility vehicle (SUV) in the Malaysian EV market.

The Jaguar I-PACE, which is seamlessly integrated with sustainability and practicality with a contemporary design, the Jaguar I-PACE has won more than 80 awards globally, including ‘World Car of the Year’, ‘World Car Design of the Year’ and ‘World Green Car’.

With two Jaguar-designed electric motors at each axle, producing an exceptional combined performance of 400PS and 696Nm, aluminium construction and a low centre of gravity, the I-PACE offers an unrivalled balance of all-wheel drive performance, refinement, luxury and agility. Created ground-up as a performance EV, the high torque density and high energy efficiency characteristics of the two motors deliver dynamic sports car performance.

Equipped with a 90kWh battery, the I-PACE has a certified Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) range of up to 470km. Customers can enjoy significantly faster charging when connected to an 11kW wall box, as it can achieve 53km of WLTP range per hour, and a full charge from empty-to-full which only takes 8.6 hours, making it ideal for overnight charging at home.

The Jaguar I-PACE sets itself apart in its segment, with its ability to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and a 400m sprint in 12.4 seconds. It has a wading depth rating of 500mm. The I-PACE delivers electrifying performance, with linear acceleration that is instantaneous and smooth, exceptional ride comfort and engaging driving dynamics, due to air suspension.

The vehicle’s spacious and stylish interior reflects a perfect balance of the classic Jaguar sports car combined with luxury craftsmanship. Created with the driver’s experience in mind, the interior is integrated with innovative technology, including the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system which is powered by a state-of-the-art processer providing fast start-up. On the dashboard, drivers are greeted with a 12.3-inch high-definition virtual instrument cluster, 10-inch and 5-inch upper and lower touchscreens featuring multi-function haptic rotary controllers alongside crisp and clean graphics, ensuring an engaging and intuitive user experience.

The all-new Jaguar I-PACE will be available in two variants, priced from RM460,800 for the Black LE and RM498,800 for the HSE, with a comprehensive warranty coverage period of 5 years or 150,000km, whichever comes first, and 3 years of roadside assistance. It also includes complimentary servicing for up to 5 years or 102,000km as well as a Battery Electric Vehicle traction battery warranty of up to 8 years or 160,000km, whichever comes first. Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia is also giving away a free RM1,000 credit on their DC GoToU app for orders collected during the launch period until 28^th May 2023, enabling users to easily view charging locations along their drives.
