Specialty Lubricants Trading Sdn Bhd, the official principal of Ipone in Malaysia, has launched the brand’s full range of motorcycle engine oils in newly repackaged, upgraded formulations at a dynamic Japanese-inspired experiential event. Further reinforcing its position as a premium motorcycle lubricant brand under the Motul Group, Ipone Malaysia marked its launch with the announcement of achieving SIRIM certification, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for Malaysian riders.
Renowned for its cutting-edge technology, exceptional performance, and high-quality lubricants developed specifically for motorcycles, the French brand is now poised to further strengthen its presence in Malaysia’s growing two-wheel (2W) market. The launch introduces Ipone’s upgraded formulations, featuring 100% PAO and ester base oils — high-quality Group 4 and Group 5 base oils, the highest grades available in lubricants today. By combining ester with these premium base oils, Ipone delivers superior engine protection, maximum performance, and enhanced efficiency, meeting the needs of daily riders, enthusiasts, and racers who consistently push their machines to the limit.
Product Line-Up: A Visual Journey of Progression and Mastery
Drawing on the Japanese spirit and influence, Ipone’s lubricants are inspired by the world of judo belts, providing a clear visual way to reflect performance levels and diverse riding needs. Complementing this, the manga-inspired packaging adds a vivid, energetic touch, bringing each product tier to life while expressing Ipone’s Japanese DNA and bold brand identity.
- Shogun (Black Belt): For riders who demand the absolute best, offering maximum protection and performance for track days and high-performance street riding.
- Samourai & Katana (Blue Belt): Fully synthetic oils offering premium performance and responsiveness, with durability and protection for spirited daily rides.
- R4000 (Green Belt) & 10.4 (Orange Belt): Semi-synthetic oils that balance protection, performance and value for everyday riders, ideal for commuting, touring, or mixed use.
- M4 (Yellow Belt): Mineral oil designed compatible bikes, workshops, and riders seeking reliable, accessible lubricants that still upholds Ipone’s quality standards.
Each Ipone bottle’s colour and name tells a story of progression and performance, reflecting where riders are on their journey. From yellow to black belt, Ipone offers products that meet riders exactly where they are – and help push them one step further.
