Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has a new addition to its big bike model line-up with the stylishly versatile new Yamaha Tracer 9 GT Sports Touring bike.
Powered by the newly developed 889cc liquid-cooled 3-cylinder engine which is lighter, quicker and more powerful, the Tracer 9 GT combination of improved combustion efficiency and lighter weight results in an impressive fuel efficiency. The Tracer 9 GT also features the jointly developed Yamaha and KYB electronic suspension, where its damper system contributes to stabilizing the motorcycle’s when starting from a stop to deliver both sporty performance and a comfortable ride.
The Yamaha Tracer 9 GT comes with a newly developed 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (“IMU”), which comprises of three-rider aids; a Traction Control System (“TCS”), Slide Control System (“SCS”), and front-wheel LIFt control system (“LIF”). All three systems work together to help give the rider ultimate control in varying weather and surface conditions, in addition to a cruising system which can be used when riding at least 50 km/h and in 4th gear or higher for easy riding.
To improve on the versatility of the Tracer 9 GT, the bike comes with adjustable riding positions designed to accommodate riders of varying physiques. It also comes fully equipped with premium quality full LED lighting, with bi-functional and mono-focus LED headlights to give the bike a dynamic new look and provide superior illumination in any situation, while new generation LED cornering lights highlight the apex of every corner to help guide riders in the darkest of nights. The bike is also equipped with Twin Full Colour 3.5” TFT Displays that provide intuitive, easy-to- read data that enables you to focus on your riding while being kept fully informed on the performance of the bike.

The New Yamaha Tracer 9 GT will be available at all authorised Yamaha Big Bike Dealers nationwide from 25 November 2021 onwards in a selection of 2 colour options, which are Icon Performance and Redline, and is priced at a recommended retail price (“RRP”) of RM 69,498.00 excluding insurance and registration fees. A personalised Big Bike Key Pouch by Royal Selangor will be provided to the first 300 customers while each new owner of the Tracer 9 GT model will receive a safety disc lock.
