With less than a month to go before the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, tickets for the showpiece from November 1st – 3rd at the Sepang International Circuit are selling like hotcakes.
Tickets for the Main Grandstand priced at RM220 are already sold out, following a similar trend from previous years where tickets start to become a rare commodity just a few months before the event.
Also recording tremendous interest are tickets for the Marc Marquez Tribune and the F Grandstand – priced at RM275 and RM88 respectively – which also have been sold out.
With an increasing trend of attendees where the 2018 edition recorded a 169,827 turnout for the three-day event, now is the time to grab your tickets to watch the spectacle of world-class motorcycle racing at Sepang.
Still available – but fast-selling – are tickets for the Premier Roving with access to the Main Grandstand, VR46 Tribune, F Grandstand and C2 Hillstand, priced at RM330 each. Premier Roving ticket holders will get an experience unlike any other to catch the races from any of the permitted areas, a one of a kind experience.
Hafizh Syahrin fans will have to make a beeline for the ticket counter as the HS55 Tribune at the Main Grandstand is fast selling out. With tickets priced at RM275 each, ticket holders will get a special HS55 merchandise to make it even more memorable.
Fans of the seven-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi would not want to miss their chance for a ticket to sit at the VR46 Tribune and be part of the famed yellow stand, still available for purchase at RM176.
Last but not least, the PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team Tribune, located within the F Grandstand. Tickets for the special arena, befitting for fans of the special team that became the first Malaysian-backed outfit to race in the MotoGP, is available at RM138 each.
Sepang International Circuit Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Razlan Razali said now is the perfect time to get tickets for the November showpiece which will be the penultimate round of the World Championship.
“Following the trend from previous years, a lot of fans will get their hands on the tickets just a couple of months before the race,” said Dato’ Razlan. “I think with the added Malaysian interest in the PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team, the circuit will be packed to the rafters once again this year.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to all who have bought and those who will buy theirs, as their support will mean a lot especially to Malaysian riders in the fray like Hafizh Syahrin, Adam Norrodin (Moto2) and also the PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team.
“This year will be a special year for the MotoGP in Malaysia as we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary since we had our first race in 1999.
“Furthermore, the entertainment tax for the event has already been waived by the Government which means a reduction in ticket prices. Now is the time to get your tickets before they are gone,” added Dato’ Razlan.
