The final round of the Asian Le Mans Series will be held this weekend at the Sepang International Circuit.  After a season full of close and exciting racing, all four championships, and their respective invitations to this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, remain up for grabs!

The 4 Hours of Sepang, will see the arrival of an additional LMP3 entry from the ARC Bratislava team, and the return of both the #8 Spirit of Race LMP2 entry and the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing LMP3 entry.

The R24 LMP3 entry will see and all new driver line up including Katherine Legge. Dries Vanthoor will return in the #88 TianShi Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3, and series new comer Qi Peiwen (Aven) will be in their #66 Audi.

LMP2
After missing the previous round in Thailand, the #8 Spirit of Race Ligier JS P2 will be back with Côme Ledogar, Alexander West, and Pipo Deranifor the 4 Hours of Sepang. While the #8 is expected to be fighting for the race win, the Championship battle is now down to just three teams, series debutants, United Autosports, 2016/17 Champions Algarve Pro Racing and ARC Bratislava.

4 Hours of Buriram race winners, Phil Hanson and Paul di Resta in the United Autosports #22 Ligier JS P2 Nissan hold a commanding lead of 18 points in the 2018/19 season. Currently second are the 4 Hours of Fuji winners, Harrison Newey and Andrea Pizzitola in the #24 Algarve Pro Racing Ligier JS P2 Judd. For the final round they will again be joined by Ate Dirk De Jong.

The #4 ARC Bratislava Ligier JS P2 Nissan being driven by Miro Konopka, Kang Ling and Darren Burke are also still in with a chance. To win, they must win the race, the #22 DNF, and the #24 finishes 2nd or worse.

LMP2 Am Trophy 
The ARC Bratislava #4 Ligier JS P2 Nissan also comes into the final round of season with a 9-point lead in the LMP2 Am Trophy class. Their closest rivals are the #23 United Autosports Ligier JS P2 Nissan, Guy Cosmo, Patrick Byrne and Salih Yoluc who are 9 points behind them.

LMP3 
The LMP3 Championship has been intense this year and going into the final round there are four entire still in contention for the win.

With a race win and two second place finishes the Class, LMP3 Championships leaders, Jakub Smiechowski and Martin Hippe in the #13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier JS P3 have an 8-point lead.

In second place is the United Autosports #2 Ligier JS P3 Nissan, driven by Chris Buncombe, Garett Grist and Wayne Boyd, and 9 points behind them is the sister United Autosports, Ligier JS P3 Nissan, the #3 driven by Matthew Bell, and Kay van Berlo. While it is a long shot, the #79 Ecurie Ecosse/Nielsen Racing Ligier JS P3 Nissan is 20 points behind the Class leaders. With 26 points on offer for pole and the race win, it is still possible.

The 4 Hours of Sepang will see the welcome return of the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing entry. Racing for the team will be Rick Yoon, Jake Parsons and James Winslow.

As previously announced, the line-up of the R24 entry will feature Katherine Legge, Margot Laffite, and Michelle Gatting for the 4 Hours of Sepang.

GT
Series new comers, Japanese team Car Guy have dominated the GT class this season winning every race in the 2018/19 Season, with their #11 Ferrari 488 GT3.  In the 4 Hours of Sepang, drivers Takeshi Kimura, Kei Cozzolino and James Calado will again come under intense pressure from the Spirit of Race Ferrari 488 GT3 being driven by Alessadro Pier Guidi, Ozzy Negri Jr and Francesco Piovanetti. The #51 can still win the Championship, but they must win and the #11 not score any points.

Official Audi Sport driver Dries Vanthoor will return with the TianShi Racing Team (TSRT) in the #88 Audi R8 LMS GT3. He will be racing with Xu Wei and (David) Chen Wei An.

Joining the #66 entry will be new driver Qi Peiwen (Aven) who has previously race in the teams SEAT TCR entry.  He will join Zhang Yaqi (Dennis), and Max Wiser.

Up for grabs – four invitations to the 24 Hours of Le Mans: 
In addition to the glory of winning the outright and class championships, the teams will be fighting for an elusive invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The winners of the LMP2 and LMP3 classes will each receive an invitation to compete in the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2019.  New for the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series, there will be an added recognition for LMP2 amateur entries – not only will they be fighting for their own Championship honours, they will also be for an invitation. There will also be one invitation to race in the LM GTE Am class for the winner of the GT class.

Malaysian motorcycling history was made as 850 Roy Malaysian motorcycling history was made as 850 Royal Enfield motorcycles came together for the largest Royal Enfield gathering in Malaysia to date, officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. 

The record-setting event took place at the iconic Sepang International Circuit, where riders
from every state in Peninsular Malaysia converged in a powerful show of unity, passion, and
camaraderie. The sight of hundreds of Royal Enfield motorcycles filling the circuit was a sight
to behold, marking a defining moment for the local riding community.
Organised by Didi Group, the gathering featured motorcycles from every Royal Enfield model
line-up, spanning classics such as the Bullet and Classic 350 to the Interceptor 650, Continental
GT, Himalayan, and Super Meteor 650. Many riders travelled long distances to be part of the
historic occasion.
The milestone was achieved through a Parade Ride and mass gathering, giving riders the
opportunity to celebrate not just a record, but the shared spirit and brotherhood that defines
the Royal Enfield community in Malaysia.

VIOS CHALLENGE ROUND 4: RM300,000 ON THE LINE AND VIOS CHALLENGE ROUND 4: RM300,000 ON THE LINE AND THREE CHAMPIONS IN WAITING AT
SEASON 8 FINALE OF THE VIOS CHALLENGE 

The 4th and final round of
the Vios Challenge (Season 8) will see a combined total of RM300,000 on the line as racers compete for
the honor of becoming the overall champion in the professional Super Sporting and amateur Sporting
Classes. The weekend which promises nothing short of an exhilarating race from start to finish will also
see the crowning of a new Rookie champion and the inaugural running of the New Vios Classic Challenge
– a race dedicated to previous generations of the Vios Challenge race cars.
The battleground for the final two races of Season 8 will take place on the more technical, tactical and
challenging South Track at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit on Friday, 9 Jan 2026 and Saturday,
10 Jan 2026. The South Track measures 2.609km featuring eight corners and an extended long straight.
It will also be the first time the Vios Challenge will be run on this part of the circuit, levelling the odds for
all racers.

Malaysia’s Kegani Racing Academy (KRA) today off Malaysia’s Kegani Racing Academy (KRA) today officially launched the 2026 SKILLDRVN Swift Professional Series with the first ever driver draft being held in Malaysia to select drivers for the participating teams.

The Professional Series is a national status championship and a step up from the already-successful SKILLDRVN One Make Race (OMR) Series which was started in 2023 as a gateway to develop young and new racers. 

Kegani Racing Academy is also proud to crown Loke Yin Yee as the very first double overall champion of the SKILLDRVN One Make Race (OMR) Series. Loke had first won the title in 2024.

The runner-up for 2025 is Andy Boey while in third place overall is car #390 Vox Lim. Boey, 34, was also the overall winner in 2023.

Malaysia secured four awards at Asia Harley Days (AHD) 2025, held on 21 – 22 November at Midwinter, Khao Yai, Thailand.

The Outstanding Riding Achievement - Unique Record award was presented to Dato’ Anand and K.V.R. Sanjevee for achieving the highest ride on Umling La Pass using a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.

Malaysia also received the Best H-D Community Event award for Desaru International Bike Week. The event was selected from community events across Asia's Emerging Markets.

In the H-D Custom Kings Asia - King of the Kings category, David Harrison won with his customized Electra Glide Highway King named “El Patron.” He was one of the wild card finalists and then represented Malaysia in the regional finals in Thailand.

 The fourth award, Largest Contingent to AHD, was presented to HRB Motorcycle Club Malaysia, which achieved the highest participation among the Asia Emerging Markets outside of Thailand.

These four recognitions highlight Malaysia’s outstanding performance at the event, making it the country with the most awards won in a single night among Harley-Davidson’s Asia Emerging Markets, which include the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Malaysian racing talent Naquib Azlan, 25, is set t Malaysian racing talent Naquib Azlan, 25, is set to swap real-world circuits for virtual competition as he heads to the Ferrari HP Esports Series Grand Final, taking place on 3 December at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
 
Naquib is one of only two drivers from the Southeast Asian region to qualify for the Grand Final, earning his place after a rigorous competition process that began in June this year.

“I’m truly honoured to represent Malaysia on such a prestigious global stage. Sim racing has always been a core part of my development as a driver, and to now compete in the Ferrari HP Esports Grand Final is an incredible opportunity. The level of competition will be incredibly high, but I believe in the preparation we’ve put in. I’m thankful for the support from the Malaysian esports community and our partners who made this journey possible.” said Naquib.
 
Naquib’s participation is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Rakan Muda and Esports Integrated under the Malaysia Esports Accelerator Program (MEAP), as well as Axle Sports.
5th edition of the Vios Enduro Cup at Sepang 1000k 5th edition of the Vios Enduro Cup at Sepang 1000km Endurance Race unfolded into one of the most dramatic and nail-biting runs to the chequered flag which would only be decided at the very final corner. 

This year’s Vios Enduro Cup brought together all three generations of the Vios Challenge race cars in a rare long-format endurance battle far beyond their traditional sprint race roots. A total of 13 cars and 38 drivers battled across 1,000km in the adrenaline-charged 8-hour Vios Enduro Cup. It also saw strong participation from within the TGR ecosystem, with 10 of the 38 drivers coming directly from the Vios Challenge 2025 one-make race, showcasing the growing depth and competitiveness of local talent.
