BYD & Sime Motors Mark a Triple Milestone in Malaysia.

BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, today marked a triple milestone that reinforces the brand’s commitment to the nation: BYD Malaysia’s plans to establish a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) factory in Malaysia — a strategic step to make electric mobility more accessible, competitive, and affordable for Malaysian customers. Alongside this, BYD Sime Motors unveiled The New BYD SEAL and, together with Wing Hin Ventures, launched the largest BYD 3S centre in Malaysia at Balakong.

Strategic Development – BYD CKD Factory in Malaysia

At the event, BYD Malaysia confirmed plans for a new CKD factory in Tanjung Malim, Perak, spanning 600,000 square meters, with vehicle production expected to begin in 2026. This investment underscores BYD’s long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in Malaysia and broaden the availability of EVs for local customers.
