In conjunction with Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka, BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, today introduced 69 limited units of the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance. This limited-edition variant marks a symbolic celebration of national pride and electric mobility progress, while completing the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 line-up in Malaysia.

The performance variant builds on the strong appeal of the BYD ATTO 3 by adding greater power, quicker acceleration and all-wheel drive capability, while retaining the practicality, comfort and safety that have made the electric SUV a popular choice among Malaysian drivers. With 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 4.0 seconds, it is designed for customers who want an everyday EV with a more dynamic and confident driving character.

The launch also completes the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 line-up in Malaysia, joining the Ultra and Premium variants launched earlier this year. Together, the three-variant range gives customers clearer choice across accessibility, range and performance: the Ultra serves as an accessible entry point, the Premium balances range and stronger rear-wheel drive performance, while the new limited-edition Performance variant delivers the most powerful and exhilarating expression of the 2026 BYD ATTO 3.

2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance Highlights
At the heart of the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance is a high-output electric powertrain producing a combined system output of 330 kW of power and 560 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful BYD ATTO 3 to date. The all-wheel drive system supports a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.0 seconds, giving drivers stronger response, improved traction and a more confident drive across city roads, highways and changing weather conditions.

Despite its performance focus, the variant remains true to the BYD ATTO 3’s practical electric SUV character. It carries a 74.88 kWh Blade Battery, supports DC fast charging of up to 220kW and offers a 530 km NEDC driving range, providing the flexibility needed for both daily commuting and longer weekend journeys.

Beyond the powertrain, the Performance variant retains the BYD ATTO 3’s practical SUV format, comfort-focused cabin and comprehensive safety technologies. It adds a Windscreen Head-Up Display (W-HUD) and, for the first time in the BYD ATTO 3 line-up, a vehicle refrigerator with cooling and heating functions, alongside the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems carried over from the Premium variant, which covers features such as Intelligent Speed Limit Control (ISLC), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) and Front Cross Traffic Brake (FCTB). Together, these enhancements offer an engaging driving experience that extends beyond outright acceleration, ensuring the vehicle maintains the comfort, practicality and versatility expected of an everyday electric SUV.

Only 69 limited-edition 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance units will be available in Malaysia, with the number chosen to commemorate Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka in 2026. The special allocation gives customers an exclusive opportunity to own the most powerful BYD ATTO 3 in the current line-up.

Priced at RM149,800 for the Performance variant while the existing Ultra and Premium variants continue to be listed at RM125,800 and RM138,800 respectively
