Boon Siew Honda Launches All New Honda RS-X.

Boon Siew Honda introduces Super Sport Essence in CUB with the All New Honda RS-X, to deliver a motorcycle to Malaysian users with a perfect union of sporty styling, superior performance and advanced features.

The RS-X invokes its Super Sports essence with an aggressive, muscular and mechanical design, a powerful 150cc DOHC engine, EURO 4 compliant with ABS and several hi-tech features to give a comfortable and confident riding experience. Some of RS-X highlights are:

• Powerful 150cc DOHC, 6-speed engine for high speed and responsive acceleration
• 1-channel ABS for added braking confidence
• Full LED lighting & Dual LED Headlights for aggressive image and visibility
• Honda Seat opener, Sealed Chain, Full Digital Speedometer for added convenience

For its sporty styling, RS-X focuses on an aerodynamically designed full cowl appearance, an aggressive front face with dual LED headlights and a sleek super slim tail.

The all LED setting not only increases the presence of RS-X on road, but also increases the visibility when riding under different lighting conditions. The muffler not only resembles big bike design, but also creates an attractive sound, giving the RS-X a distinctive racing feeling.

Its high performance is the result of a 150cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine combined with a 6- speed transmission, capable of exerting a peak power of 11.8 kW @9,000rpm and torque of 13.6Nm @7,000 rpm. The PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) feature, allows significant fuel saving while reducing emission.

The RS-X is equipped with hi-tech features like the 1-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) which allows rider braking confidence. This all new RS-X is also equipped with features to increase convenience like the Honda seat opener, sealed chain drive and a fully Digital Speedometer giving a plethora of information to rider for a safer and relaxed riding experience. This model is also environmentally friendly complying with EURO4 emission standards.

The launching event for RS-X was held virtually due to ongoing pandemic restriction and marked with a special message from Mr. Masayuki Igarashi, Chief Officer for Regional Operations (Asia & Oceania), Honda Motor Co., Ltd. The event was hosted by Mr. Yoshitaka Nakamura, Managing Director and CEO of Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd and joined by Mr. Aman RA, Honda’s Brand Ambassador for Motorcycles in Malaysia and Mr. Zaqhwan Zaidi, rider for Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA. Mr. Nakamura expressed his pleasure on launching the All New RS-X and heralded it as a new milestone in Boon Siew Honda’s offering to its Malaysian users.

The All New Honda RS-X is available in a selection of 3 colour options namely Trico Edition, Candy Caribbean Blue Sea and Lemon Ice Yellow and delivery to all authorized dealers will start soon.
