BMW Group Malaysia yesterday unveiled the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport, a landmark in the BMW brand’s latest headway in the pursuit of bespoke design.

“The introduction of the All-New BMW 4 Series Coupé to the Malaysian market further expands and diversifies our local portfolio. This is in line with our mission to empower our customers to exercise their power of choice, to take pride in choosing a BMW that best embodies their individuality. By diversifying our offerings, we are confident that there will be a right BMW for every one of our loyal customers and fans out there,” said Harald Hoelzl, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia.

He added, “The reimagination of the ‘4’ also presents exciting new grounds in the realm of design on which to thread upon. By revisiting and taking inspiration from iconic BMW designs in the past, we are exploring possibilities of how design elements and styles could be given a new lease of life in a contemporary BMW vehicle. The All-New BMW 4 Series is the manifestation of that inquisitiveness that has helped spur us ever-forward in the field of design.”

The kidney grille of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is a homage to historic icons in BMW’s history such as the BMW 328, reinterpreting the standout feature and embodying it into a sporty, contemporary coupé form. A strong statement in aesthetic design, the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport nevertheless retains and refines upon the comfort and driving dynamics that customers and fans have come to expect of in a BMW vehicle.

A bold, new face in design and character.

A low front with the vertically-emphasised kidney grilles outlines the compelling character of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport. Angled forward, the kidney grilles extend down almost to the lower edge of the front apron, and together with the large Air Intake curtains, accentuates the width of the front.  Up-close, the kidney grilles feature an immaculate mesh design of its own – an ensemble of seemingly floating horizontal nuggets in matt aluminium that come together to form a honeycomb pattern – all framed in high-glass chrome.

By virtue of its purist design language, the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport utilises techniques in proportions and minimal number of lines to accentuate its athletic stature, combining it with the aerodynamics and sporting elegance befitting a BMW coupé. Compared to its predecessor, the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport’s dimensions measure slightly larger at 4,768 mm in length (+130), 1,852 mm in width (+27), 1,383 mm in height (+6), and 2,851 mm in wheelbase (+41).

From the side, short overhangs and the longest coupé doors to be found on any BMW help provide an overall elongated and dynamic impression. 19″ M light alloy wheels in Double-spoke style 797 M Bicolour with mixed tyres and runflat tyres, and M Sport brakes with blue painted brake callipers and ‘M’ designation further enhance the sporty, agile profile of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport. Towards the rear, exhaust tailpipes are finished in high-glass chrome.

The All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport arrives with the M Aerodynamics Package, BMW Laserlights with High-beam Assistant, LED fog lights, the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line.

Coupé-like dynamicism.

At the heart of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is the BMW TwinTurbo 4-cylinder petrol engine, which combines a twin-scroll turbocharger with Valvetronic, Double VANOS and High-Precision Injection. The All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport impresses with a maximum output of 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque, completing a 0 – 100 km/h sprint in just 5.8 seconds. The top speed of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is 250 km/h.

Power to the wheels is transmitted via an upgraded 8-speed Steptronic Sport Transmission with improved efficiency resulting in a fuel consumption of 6.6 litre per 100 km of travel, and CO2 emissions of 151 g per kilometre of travel. Optimised dynamics is achieved through enhanced ride and shift comfort, along with shorter shift times.

Agile handling is aided by advanced control systems such as ARB technology (actuator contiguous wheel slip limitation), which enables significantly faster and more sensitive wheel slip control. Further supplementing the especially sporty driving dynamics are the M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes and Variable Sport Steering.

Additionally, the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport comes standard with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist to provide a complete package in advanced driving dynamics.

Functionality meets exclusivity.

The cockpit of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is designed with the sporty driver in mind. Standard equipment includes sport seats for the driver and passenger, M leather steering wheel, M-specific pedals, Leather Vernasca upholstery, and BMW Individual headliner Anthracite, complete with interior trim finisher Aluminium Tetragon with highlight trim finisher in Pearl Chrome. M-specific stripes adorn the safety belts for both front and rear seats.

Amplifying the sporty seating ambience, a high centre console delimits separate zones for the driver and front passenger. Seamless integration of the instrument cluster and Control Display helps form a large workspace, displaying essential information in an easily accessible manner. The instrument panel is complete in Sensatec. Multi-function buttons for the steering wheel, additional storage compartment with the front armrest, and electric seat adjustment with memory function for the driver provide functional touches that complete the driving experience.

To ensure unhindered clarity on the road at all times, the exterior mirrors on the driver’s side come equipped with automatic anti-dazzle function and include fold-in functionality. The interior rear-view mirror is also fitted with an automatic anti-dazzle function. Visibility in the rain is aided by a rain sensor, with automatic activation control for windscreen wipers and driving lights.

The controls in the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport are arranged in clearly defined functional clusters, allowing for ample room to showcase lavish surfaces and exclusive materials. Visually enhancing the interior ambience are the welcome light carpet and ambient light with 11 predefined lighting designs, while floor mats in velour and automatic air conditioning with 3-zone control denote the luxury-focus of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport.

The All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport features BMW Live Cockpit Professional with fully digital 12.3” instrument display along with BMW Navigation System Professional with 10.25” touch sensitive display. In-car entertainment is achieved through a 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound System and extended functionality for Bluetooth and USB devices with wireless charging.

Optimal connectivity in the form of the Connected Package Professional comes standard and includes Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, and Intelligent Personal Assistant. Customisable widgets for the control display are featured in the latest BMW Operating System 7, with real-time display of desired information. Remote Software Upgrade ensures timely software updates, enabling drivers to access new vehicle functions that can be retrofitted seamlessly via an over-the-air upgrade.

The rear seats provide passengers with the sporty seating experience of a coupé, while still providing ample headspace. 40/20/40-split folding function for the rear backrests allow for a through-loading system, further expanding and providing access to the 440-litre luggage compartment.

Cutting-edge driving assistance systems.

In addition to Speed Limit Assist, Cross-traffic Warning, Rear Collision Prevention, and Approach Control Warning, the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport comes equipped with the Driving Assistant Package which includes features such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, and front collision warning with brake intervention.

The All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport also comes with Parking Assistant with rear-view camera and Reversing Assistant, which continuously records the last 50 metres of driving (when driven slowly, at speeds of up to 35 km/h) and automatically reverses back the exact same way if requested, allowing for effortless navigation out of parking spots or tight spaces.

The All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is available in Arctic Race Blue Metallic, Portimao Blue, Alpine White, and Black Sapphire. Leather Vernasca upholstery with black décor stitching decorates the interior and comes in Black, Tacora Red or Cognac.

At Belgium’s Spa Francorchamps circuit, Malaysia At Belgium’s Spa Francorchamps circuit, Malaysia’s Viper Niza Racing Team secured 4th in the #GT3-AM Class and 7th overall in Round 2 of the Michelin 24H Series. The result lifts them to joint 1st in the GT3-AM standings (56 points) alongside Hofor Racing and HAAS RT, keeping them firmly in the championship fight with three rounds remaining.

With valuable points secured and consistent pace shown across both race segments, Viper Niza Racing remains well-positioned as the championship heads into its final three rounds.
