Beam Celebrates 66 Years of Merdeka with RM66 Vouchers and Prizes Up for Grabs!

To commemorate Malaysia’s 66th Merdeka anniversary, Beam Mobility is offering residents of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor ride vouchers worth a whopping RM66 for free! With these ride vouchers, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor residents may hop onto a Beam e-scooter at a discounted price, travel to and from work or simply sightsee the hottest spots in the Klang Valley.

To assist users in redeeming the vouchers, Beam has placed multiple QR codes within various channels around LRT and MRT stations in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Train stations aside, hang tags have also been placed on Beam e-scooters while friendly Beam promoters will be stationed at these channels during peak hours to provide assistance.

Upon scanning the QR code, users will be led to Beam’s promotional page, where users can find out more about the micromobility provider’s Merdeka promo and how to claim and apply the voucher code.

To claim the RM66 vouchers, users simply need to open up the Beam app, click on the new “My Voucher” feature, and key in the voucher code MERDEKA66 anytime from now until 16^th September 2023. Once claimed, the vouchers can be redeemed as a 25% discount voucher for a total of 11 trips, capped at RM6 per trip. The vouchers will remain valid for 30 days starting from the date of redemption.

“Merdeka is always a special time for Malaysians. We wanted to do our bit to add to the fun, whilst doing our part to make those first and last miles of a journey as fast and affordable as possible. With these vouchers, we hope that residents in KL and Selangor will take full advantage to employ more efficient ways of travel and also be motivated to explore the nooks and crannies of our beautiful country,” said Justin Tiew, General Manager of Beam Mobility Malaysia.

In addition to that, Beam is running a fun competition offering more amazing rewards! Frequent visitors of LRT and MRT stations in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor will have the opportunity to spot the “Purple Men” of Beam from now till 16^th September 2023.

Dressed in Beam’s iconic purple from head to toe, those who spot and capture a photo with a Purple Man and share it on their social media using the hashtag #BeamMerdeka66 will receive RM5 worth of Beam credits for free. Moreover, they will automatically stand a chance to win 6 months of free rides! Here’s how to participate:
