Intuitive Control Switch with a Dedicated Cruise Control

The new intuitive control switch is designed to handle a wide range of functions, including smartphone connectivity, navigation and cruise control. After the cruise speed is set, it can be increased or decreased conveniently with single pushes of the switch or continuously holding down the switch.

Yamaha Ride Control (YRC)

YRC allows riders to customize their riding experience by selecting engine power characteristics and degree of electronic rider aid intervention based either on the rider’s personal preference or on road conditions. Riders can choose from three preset conditions; SPORT, STREET and RAIN or create two other custom modes, allowing flexibility to adjust the bike to a wider range of riding situations.

Brembo Brake Master Cylinder

Brembo master cylinders offer quick and reliable braking performance to match the power and speed of the Yamaha MT-09 in all situations. The ergonomic design of the Brembo master cylinders has been optimized for outstanding braking performance with finger-tip control.

5-Inch Full Colour TFT Display with Y-Connect and Garmin StreetCross

The new Yamaha MT-09 model is equipped with a five-inch full colour TFT display offering four different themes to suit the rider’s preference. When connected to a smartphone via the Y-connect app, the TFT display will be able to display information such as incoming phone calls, text messages and many more functions just by scrolling the intuitive control switch. Real time traffic information and full map navigation are available by installing the free Garmin StreetCross app and pairing it to the bike.

USB Type-C socket

Located under the seat, the USB Type-C socket comes in handy to power electronic devices or heated rider gear.

Acoustic Amplifier Grilles

Like a wild beast unleashed, the Yamaha MT-09’s engine produces a deep roar exuding raw power and energy that sends shivers of exhilaration with every twist of the throttle. To rev up the exhilaration of riding, acoustic amplifier

grilles were specially designed with perforated openings on the airbox cover to accentuate the high frequency sounds of the engine, delivering the soundtrack of speed right to the rider’s ears.

This revision also shortens the tail overhang for a sleeker appearance and enhances the rider’s sense of stability through improved structural rigidity. On the other hand, the suspension has higher spring rates and updated damping characteristics, specifically designed to accommodate a broad range of speeds for enhanced performance across various road conditions.

Adjustable Handlebar and Footpegs for Enhanced Ergonomics

The new Yamaha MT-09 features customizable handlebars and footpegs to two positions according to the rider’s height and preference. This flexibility allows a more unified riding posture, reducing fatigue during long journeys and increasing overall control over the bike.
