BMW Malaysia presents the refreshed BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60.

BMW Malaysia today unveiled two exciting vehicles that bring the latest charging technology, continuing to exemplify their commitment towards delivering Sheer Electric Driving Pleasure with the refreshed iterations of the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60.

BMW Malaysia continues to build upon the legacy of shaping the shared future of Electrified Mobility with the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60, which sees updated features to its technological capabilities, raising the bar for electrified mobility in the local market. Retaining the distinctive silhouette and signature elements that define the BMW iX series, the two variants are now equipped with new charging capabilities and the integration of the dual-axle suspension.

Taking Electric to New Heights.

The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60 are now equipped with the AC Charging Professional as standard, introducing an updated feature to the vehicles’ charging capabilities. The new feature will substantially decrease charging times, whether at home or public AC chargers, with the newly equipped 22 kW charging capabilities. This results to a more efficient and convenient charging experience, significantly reducing the charging time of both vehicles to under 5 hours 30 minutes for a complete 0 to 100% charge. Besides, the duo will continue to arrive equipped with high-power charging of up to 195 kW, accelerating its charging from 0% to 80% charge in just 35 minutes. An 11kW AC Wallbox Charger, on the other hand, can charge the vehicles from 0 to 100% in 11 hours.

Owners of the BMW iX can also enjoy charging access at over 1,700 charging facilities nationwide, powered by major local EV charging providers who are in partnership with BMW Group Malaysia. Strategic collaborations with ChargeEV and Yinson GreenTech has provided access to over 400 facilities, while partnerships with JomCharge, Gentari, ChargeN’Go, ChargeSini, Go To-U, and FlexiParking introduced approximately 160 additional facilities across the country. These significant collaborations not only shape the future of mobility in Malaysia, but also ensures that every aspect of the Premium Electric Ownership Experience seamlessly aligns with the evolving landscape of Electric Mobility.

The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport continues to showcase an impressive maximum output of 385 kW/523 hp, coupled with an exceptional electric range of up to 630 km (WLTP). The vehicle has a dynamic start boasting up to 765 Nm of torque and a maximum of 523 hp with the Launch Control, resulting in a seamless acceleration to 100 km/h in a mere 4.6 seconds, all while reaching a top speed of 200 km/h.

The BMW iX M60, on the other hand, still features the optimised dual-motor configuration that results in an impressive, combined output of 455kW/619 hp, creating an electric range of up to 561 km (WLTP). Under normal driving conditions, the vehicle continues to see a substantial 1,015 Nm of torque, while the activation of Launch Control unleashes its full potential, raising maximum torque to an exhilarating 1,100 Nm thus achieving the century sprint in a mere 3.8 seconds. Now arriving as standard, The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60 features the dual-axle air suspension that ensures a remarkably smooth and refined driving experience, expertly absorbing road imperfections with precision.  Additionally, they retain the BMW Iconic Sounds Electric as standard, creating an exquisite immersive experience, granting an immediate connection between sound and vehicle.

Intelligent Design and Assistance.

With Comfort Access featuring the BMW Digital Key Plus, owners may unlock the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60 automatically with the key or a compatible smartphone, which supports iPhone and Android. It not only ensures seamless access but also enhances security by automatically locking when the driver walks away. Additionally, this digital key can be shared with up to five compatible devices allowing for convenience to the ownership experience.

The BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60 retain their luxurious cabin that feature the Interior Design Atelier as standard, with Sensatec accents on the central console and armrest, alongside the Harman Kardon 18-speaker surround sound system with an innovative headrest and lumbar level loudspeakers. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional keeps its curved 12.3-inch instrument display and 14.9-inch central display, complemented by multifunctional seats, wireless charging, and 4-zone automatic air conditioning for enhanced comfort. For a seamless driving experience, the BMW iDrive, now with the new BMW Operating System 8.5, offers a filtered set of information for added convenience.

The exterior colour options for the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and the BMW iX M60 are Alpine White, Mineral White Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, Sophisto Grey Metallic with Brilliant Effect, Phytonic Blue Metallic, Oxide Grey Metallic and Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic. With an additional charge of RM6,200, owners may choose from Aventurine Red Metallic or Individual Storm Bay Metallic. Colour offering for the interior upholstery include the Interior Design Atelier in Mocha or Black, while an additional charge of RM17,300 allows for an option of the Interior Design Suite in Amido or Castanea.

Dynamic financial programme.  

With the Easy Drive Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the BMW iX xDrive50 Sport and BMW iX M60 can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 6,599.00 and RM 8,252.00 respectively (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure) after RM10,000 Easy Drive Cash Rebate until 31st March 2024, terms and conditions apply. Alternatively, customers may also opt for the Straight-Line Financing Plan which offers a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 5,877.00 and RM 7,220.00 respectively, on a seven-year tenure.
