Suzuki motorcycle reintroduces itself into the Malaysian market with a big bang, unleashing a line-up of six new motorcycles, announcing a new brand custodian and establishing a network of more than 70 experienced sales and service dealerships nationwide.

Marking a new era for the brand, and underlining a clear ambition to become a major player in Malaysia’s motorcycle market, the brand has simultaneously launched the 2021 generation of the GSX-R1000 and GSX -R1000R super sport; the iconic Katana; the GSX-S 750; V-STROM 650XT sport adventure tourer; and SV650 street bike.

Taking over from Suzuki Assemblers Malaysia, Suzuki Malaysia Sdn Bhd is now the sole and exclusive importer, distributor and assembler for Suzuki Motorcycles, ATV, Spare Parts and Accessories in Malaysia. The business is being spearheaded by Group Executive Chairman – Encik Ahmad Faez bin Tan Sri Yahaya and led by Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Jeffrey Lim, the General Manager and Director of Suzuki Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Together, the management

team has more than 33 years’ experience in the motorcycle industry to support the Suzuki brand.

“This is an exciting new beginning for Suzuki. We are not just back, but we are here with an even bigger commitment, one that will not only offer customers the very latest and most advanced motorcycles Suzuki has to offer but to elevate their riding and ownership

experience to an even higher level,” says Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Jeffrey Lim, the General Manager and Director of Suzuki Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

“We understand that many Suzuki fans were eagerly waiting for the launch of these new models. Suzuki Malaysia had plans to release the products earlier into the market but due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to do so.

Finally, we have arrived today to kick start the Suzuki brand with six latest models and a complete array of over 70 experienced dealers and after sales network,” Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Jeffrey Lim explains.

“Suzuki Malaysia will have three categories of dealers to serve the market but for the time being, we are commencing the business by selling the fully CBU models. We will be announcing more exciting range of products soon,” Encik Ahmad Faez reveals.

To enhance the reach of our customer, Suzuki Malaysia Sdn Bhd has established 3 categories of dealer’s network. It explains as below:

Suzuki Big Bike World

This is a Suzuki Exclusive Concept Shop and dealers under this category will have full fledge showrooms which display and sell complete range of Suzuki motorcycles.

Under Suzuki Big Bike World, these Elite dealers are the cream of Suzuki dealership, which offer excellent customer service and proficient sales advisors who are experienced to furnish all aspects of the machines to the customers.

 

Suzuki Station Plus

This category of dealers are located strategically nationwide and they have the product knowledge to help customers in choosing the suitable Suzuki models that meeting their requirement and budget.

Suzuki Station Plus dealers will sell Suzuki models up to 800cc. (Engine category is subject to review)

 

Suzuki Station

This category of dealers will have wider network coverage and serve the mass market. The dealers will target at budget conscious customers who are looking for economical motorcycle for commuting purposes.

Suzuki Station dealers are selling Suzuki models up to 250cc.

 

 

Suzuki motorcycle owners will also be provided with two categories of aftersales support to ensure their machines will be in the optimum condition. Apart from the usual maintenance service, these centres will also be able to handle warranty claims and product updates.

Suzuki Exclusive Service Centre

Dedicated to provide complete aftersales service to all Suzuki models, all Suzuki Exclusive Service Centres will be handled by experienced and well-trained Suzuki technicians in order to provide the best care for all Suzuki models.

The Centres are also well equipped with a complete facility, tools and equipment, all in a spacious and conducive Service Centre environment.

Suzuki Service Corner

Similar to Suzuki Exclusive Service Centres albeit at a smaller scale, the Suzuki Service Corner is targeted to ensure more accessibility by the customers at numerous locations.

Workshop under this category will have a portion of their existing service area to service Suzuki motorcycles, with competent technicians and well versed on the products.

We are rolling out the brand with a strong aftersales support which include the necessary network of spare part stockists throughout the nation,” Encik Ahmad Faez concludes.

Suzuki Malaysia Sdn Bhd headquarters is situated at Hicom Glenmarie Industrial Park in Shah Alam, Selangor, same location as Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

Suzuki Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has confirmed the specification and colour options of the six new models which are now available at its Authorised Dealers’ showrooms nationwide.

“These are the models which we hope will be able to cater to all genre of motorcycle aficionados. With its latest in two-wheel technology, plus new colours and graphics relevant to the current trend, we believe they are more than enough to excite any motorcycle fans out there,” Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Jeffrey Lim, the General Manager and Director of Suzuki Malaysia Sdn Bhd says.

The six models introduced range from high performance, urban lifestyle, dual-purpose and mid-range street machines.

Below are the detail information for all the models currently being offered by Suzuki Malaysia.

GSX-R1000/GSX-R1000R

  • RM99,289.00 and RM110,289.00 (suggested retail price without insurance and registration)
  • Metallic Triton Blue / Metallic Mystic Silver (GSX-R1000R only)
  • Metallic Matte Black (GSX-R1000/GSX-R1000R)

Racing pedigree is strong in the GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R which is more compact and has a lighter engine with class-leading power capable of delivering power across a broad rpm range.

With a reworked aerodynamics package, the twin-spar aluminum frame is now lighter and more compact than the previous generation with the frame’s adjustable swing arm pivots enabling riders and racers to tune the chassis for race track performance. Even its LCD multifunction instrument panel is heavily-inspired by the GSX-RR MotoGP dash.

The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R’s compact, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 999.8cc, inline-four-cylinder engine is designed with a high level of top-end performance plus strong low- to mid-range power. Key enhancements to the 2021 model include a 76.0mm bore x 55.1mm stroke that is narrower than the prior generation; and the engine rotated back and positioned in the frame to create optimal chassis

dimensions for precise handling and to balance the motorcycle’s weight. The GSX-R1000 and GSX- R1000R also features Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing System (SR-VVT) to increase high engine rpm power without losing low- to mid-range power.

Featuring a six-speed close-ratio transmission, the motorcycle has a lower primary gear ratio compared to its predecessor for stronger acceleration. The cassette-style transmission meanwhile, give riders the flexibility to precisely match the gear ratio to their riding condition, and is easily removed to facilitate gear changes for the race track. Both the GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are equipped with the Suzuki Bi- Directional Quick Shift System that allows for clutchless up shifts and down shifts when the motorcycle is used in competition. In addition, the shift linkage can also be easily set up for reverse pattern, enabling GP-style shifting even with the quick-shifter in use. A programmable shift light on the main instrument panel meanwhile, sends out a visual alert to the rider to shift when a certain engine rpm is reached.

The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are further equipped with the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) multi- plate, wet clutch which acts as a slipper clutch during downshifts and increases pressure on the plates during acceleration to smoothen engine braking and lighten the clutch lever pull. Other advanced electronic rider aids exclusive to the GSX-R1000R include launch control and a motion track brake system to increase street and race track performance.

Advanced Showa Balance Free Front Fork (BFF) and rear suspension reaffirms the GSX-R1000 and GSX- R1000R’s outright performance, with optimum stopping power coming from Brembo four-piston, radial- mount front brake calipers and an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS).

KATANA (GSX-S1000S)

There cannot be a more iconic motorcycle than the Katana. The 2021 and latest reincarnation of the Katana honors its predecessor that had created an overwhelming sensation with its radical styling and invoked the spirit of the traditional Japanese sword of the Samurai when it was first introduced in 1981.

Built upon the extraordinary performance of the GSX-R1000 engine and the proven stability of the GSX- S1000 chassis, the modern Katana is a bold expression of both excellence in styling and performance, designed to deliver an exciting riding experience. Craftsmanship of the Katana, like the making of the sword it is said, was the result of dedication to detailed execution in the design, manufacturing and finishing of every component seamlessly blending the strict traditions of the past with the expectations of today’s state-of-the-art technology.

Paying homage to the original design, the Katana’s pronounced bodywork rests upon a twin-spar, aluminum alloy frame, and Superbike-type braced swing arm to provide great road holding performance. Its front appearance is punctuated by a sharp face with LED headlight and LED front position lights, while in the rear LED combination lights complete a clean and simplistic design. The Katana also features a multifunction instrument cluster.

It is powered by a 147-horsepower (110kw) liquid-cooled 999cc inline-four engine with a long-stroke configuration to infuse smooth throttle response and immediate as well as controlled acceleration for a more fulfilling ride. Like the GSX-R1000R, it also features a Clutch Assist System (SCAS) drive line for smooth shifting and engine braking.

Suzuki’s Advanced Traction Control System meanwhile, offer riders four distinct modes (1, 2, 3, and OFF) that can be adjusted while stationary or on the fly via a handlebar-mounted control. Control, comfort and maneuverability are also enhanced with a fully adjustable inverted front fork. Stopping power comes in the form of dual floating front brake rotors and Brembo Monobloc brake calipers, assisted by an Anti- lock Brake System (ABS).

GSX-S750

The GSX-S750 sports aggressive styling and posture with its street-fighter inspired bodywork, and powered by a torque-rich fuel-injected 749cc four-cylinder engine, distinguishing itself as one of the best value for money middle weight performance motorcycles in its class on the market.

The motorcycle’s architecture draws from Suzuki’s racing experience in MotoGP and the brand’s 30-year heritage of the GSX-R750. Its unique chassis integrates the best qualities of a tubular girder street bike frame and a twin-spar sport bike frame, and is fitted with KYB suspension to provide precise handling.

Engine upgrades include throttle bodies with Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) system that has been designed to unleash better throttle response and torque at the low- to mid-rpm range, while still producing peak performance. Specially-designed camshafts meanwhile, deliver a dynamic wave of smooth torque and strong acceleration. Combined with the use of a race-proven, six-speed, close-ratio transmission, the GSX-S750 accelerates quicker than its predecessor yet maintains the same top speed.

The GSX-S750 is also equipped with Suzuki Advanced Traction Control offering four modes of riding (1, 2, 3, and OFF) with changes easily adjustable via a handlebar-mounted control. Braking performance is enhanced with the use of front Nissin Monobloc, four-piston brake calipers and twin, wave-style brake rotors with Anti-lock Brake System (ABS).

Reminiscent of Suzuki’s iconic DR-BIG rally motorcycle, the V-Strom 650XT builds on versatility, reliability, durability and value created for the rider seeking out an adventure both on and off road.

The latest generation V-Strom 650XT is both lighter at 216kg, and more maneuverable, powered by a liquid-cooled, 645cc, 90-degree, V-twin engine that delivers strong torque in the low- to-mid rpm range, and an even stronger rush in high rpm power via a six-speed transmission. The motorcycle is also

equipped with Suzuki’s Advanced Traction Control System, an Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist feature, and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS).

With a subtle and unimposing fairing design, the V-Strom 650XT’s touring-ready trim features vertically stacked headlights, a three-way adjustable windshield, a combination of an analog tachometer and digital speedometer for enhanced visibility, a DC charging outlet, hand guards, a protective lower engine cowl, wire-spoked tubeless wheels and a 20-litre fuel capacity. The V-Strom 650XT also sports 170mm ground clearance, and its strong and light chassis is built with integrated mount points for luggage that is designed to easily clip on and off.

A lighter chassis, a sportier personality and a spirited 645cc engine defines Suzuki’s all-new SV650 middleweight contender. Since making its debut in 1999, the SV650 has continually evolved to build on its sporty personality, and the latest generation promises not only an even more exciting ride but an outstanding performance.

The SV650 continues to build upon a trellis-style frame constructed of high-strength steel tubes for lower weight and rigidity coupled with slim bodywork to provide a visually stunning motorcycle. Suzuki engineers also repositioned the SV650’s muffler to further increase lean angle when cornering.

Powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 90-degree, dual spark, V-Twin 645cc engine, the SV650 achieves perfect primary balance to smoothly pull away with authority from idle up to its 10,000 rpm redline. The new engine also produces greater efficiency, better fuel economy, and cleaner emissions. An advanced

electronic fuel injection system which includes Suzuki’s Low RPM Assist feature seamlessly adjusts engine speed during take-off and low-speed running for smoother power delivery and optimum combustion

efficiency. The motorcycle’s close-ratio six-speed transmission meanwhile, makes the SV650 extremely adept for commuting or spirited riding.

The SV650 features dual four-piston Tokico front brake calipers with 290mm fully floating stainless-steel rotors and is equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) for great stopping performance.

The above 6 models are available at Suzuki Big Bike World while Suzuki Station Plus will have GSX-S750, V-Strom 650XT and SV650. Suzuki motorcycles come with a 2-year or 20,000km standard warranty (whichever come first).

Malaysian motorcycling history was made as 850 Roy Malaysian motorcycling history was made as 850 Royal Enfield motorcycles came together for the largest Royal Enfield gathering in Malaysia to date, officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. 

The record-setting event took place at the iconic Sepang International Circuit, where riders
from every state in Peninsular Malaysia converged in a powerful show of unity, passion, and
camaraderie. The sight of hundreds of Royal Enfield motorcycles filling the circuit was a sight
to behold, marking a defining moment for the local riding community.
Organised by Didi Group, the gathering featured motorcycles from every Royal Enfield model
line-up, spanning classics such as the Bullet and Classic 350 to the Interceptor 650, Continental
GT, Himalayan, and Super Meteor 650. Many riders travelled long distances to be part of the
historic occasion.
The milestone was achieved through a Parade Ride and mass gathering, giving riders the
opportunity to celebrate not just a record, but the shared spirit and brotherhood that defines
the Royal Enfield community in Malaysia.

VIOS CHALLENGE ROUND 4: RM300,000 ON THE LINE AND VIOS CHALLENGE ROUND 4: RM300,000 ON THE LINE AND THREE CHAMPIONS IN WAITING AT
SEASON 8 FINALE OF THE VIOS CHALLENGE 

The 4th and final round of
the Vios Challenge (Season 8) will see a combined total of RM300,000 on the line as racers compete for
the honor of becoming the overall champion in the professional Super Sporting and amateur Sporting
Classes. The weekend which promises nothing short of an exhilarating race from start to finish will also
see the crowning of a new Rookie champion and the inaugural running of the New Vios Classic Challenge
– a race dedicated to previous generations of the Vios Challenge race cars.
The battleground for the final two races of Season 8 will take place on the more technical, tactical and
challenging South Track at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit on Friday, 9 Jan 2026 and Saturday,
10 Jan 2026. The South Track measures 2.609km featuring eight corners and an extended long straight.
It will also be the first time the Vios Challenge will be run on this part of the circuit, levelling the odds for
all racers.

Malaysia’s Kegani Racing Academy (KRA) today off Malaysia’s Kegani Racing Academy (KRA) today officially launched the 2026 SKILLDRVN Swift Professional Series with the first ever driver draft being held in Malaysia to select drivers for the participating teams.

The Professional Series is a national status championship and a step up from the already-successful SKILLDRVN One Make Race (OMR) Series which was started in 2023 as a gateway to develop young and new racers. 

Kegani Racing Academy is also proud to crown Loke Yin Yee as the very first double overall champion of the SKILLDRVN One Make Race (OMR) Series. Loke had first won the title in 2024.

The runner-up for 2025 is Andy Boey while in third place overall is car #390 Vox Lim. Boey, 34, was also the overall winner in 2023.

The Outstanding Riding Achievement - Unique Record award was presented to Dato’ Anand and K.V.R. Sanjevee for achieving the highest ride on Umling La Pass using a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.

Malaysia also received the Best H-D Community Event award for Desaru International Bike Week. The event was selected from community events across Asia's Emerging Markets.

In the H-D Custom Kings Asia - King of the Kings category, David Harrison won with his customized Electra Glide Highway King named “El Patron.” He was one of the wild card finalists and then represented Malaysia in the regional finals in Thailand.

 The fourth award, Largest Contingent to AHD, was presented to HRB Motorcycle Club Malaysia, which achieved the highest participation among the Asia Emerging Markets outside of Thailand.

These four recognitions highlight Malaysia’s outstanding performance at the event, making it the country with the most awards won in a single night among Harley-Davidson’s Asia Emerging Markets, which include the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Malaysian racing talent Naquib Azlan, 25, is set t Malaysian racing talent Naquib Azlan, 25, is set to swap real-world circuits for virtual competition as he heads to the Ferrari HP Esports Series Grand Final, taking place on 3 December at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
 
Naquib is one of only two drivers from the Southeast Asian region to qualify for the Grand Final, earning his place after a rigorous competition process that began in June this year.

“I’m truly honoured to represent Malaysia on such a prestigious global stage. Sim racing has always been a core part of my development as a driver, and to now compete in the Ferrari HP Esports Grand Final is an incredible opportunity. The level of competition will be incredibly high, but I believe in the preparation we’ve put in. I’m thankful for the support from the Malaysian esports community and our partners who made this journey possible.” said Naquib.
 
Naquib’s participation is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Rakan Muda and Esports Integrated under the Malaysia Esports Accelerator Program (MEAP), as well as Axle Sports.
5th edition of the Vios Enduro Cup at Sepang 1000k 5th edition of the Vios Enduro Cup at Sepang 1000km Endurance Race unfolded into one of the most dramatic and nail-biting runs to the chequered flag which would only be decided at the very final corner. 

This year’s Vios Enduro Cup brought together all three generations of the Vios Challenge race cars in a rare long-format endurance battle far beyond their traditional sprint race roots. A total of 13 cars and 38 drivers battled across 1,000km in the adrenaline-charged 8-hour Vios Enduro Cup. It also saw strong participation from within the TGR ecosystem, with 10 of the 38 drivers coming directly from the Vios Challenge 2025 one-make race, showcasing the growing depth and competitiveness of local talent.

Malaysian motorcycling history was made as 850 Royal Enfield motorcycles came together for the largest Royal Enfield gathering in Malaysia to date, officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. The record-setting event took place at the iconic Sepang International Circuit, where ridersfrom every state in Peninsular Malaysia converged in a powerful show of unity, passion, andcamaraderie.
