WorldSBK ready for another massive presence at EICMA

The WorldSBK Paddock Show will host a remarkable series of activities, welcome gifts and future stars of the championship.

The eni FIM Superbike World Championship and EICMA (the International Motorcycle Exhibition) will be teaming up for the fifth successive year to bring the best of the 2015 racing season to the Milan show, underlining its presence as one of the highlights of this year’s edition.

Next week, EICMA’s Pavilion 11 Stand G06 will be the venue for the impressive WorldSBK Paddock Show, with its 500 square metres housing riders, bikes, gadgets, games and entertainment. The WorldSBK area, present throughout the event, will see a succession of activities involving the protagonists of this year’s Superbike, Supersport and Superstock championships, with autograph sessions and interviews on the WorldSBK Paddock Show stage from Wednesday through until Sunday.

Champions are always the main attraction at the WorldSBK Paddock Show and this year will be no exception with the newly-crowned Champion Jonathan Rea scheduled to make an appearance, along with the other 2015 title winners Kenan Sofuoglu -World Supersport-, Lorenzo Savadori -Superstock 1000- and Toprak Razgatlioglu -Superstock 600-.

The other riders who provided all the action this year will all be present – Tom Sykes, Chaz Davies, Sylvain Guintoli, Alex Lowes, Leon Haslam, Davide Giugliano, Niccolò Canepa and many more. World Supersport will also be represented by Jules Cluzel, Lorenzo Zanetti, Roberto Rolfo, Fabio Menghi and by Puccetti Racing’s new signing Randy Krummenacher. Superstock 1000 is also well represented by the aforementioned Savadori, Raffaele De Rosa and Luca Marconi.

Honda World Superbike’s new recruit, 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden will make his first appearance on the Paddock Show during the weekend.

Top sponsors Alfa Romeo and Official Tyre Supplier Pirelli will have a major presence within the Paddock Show area, with the astonishing 4c Safety Car and the Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres on great display. Tissot will have a dedicated photo-shooting corner with the possibility for fans to pose with Tissot’s showgirls. A fashion show with a special guest will be provided by Scorpion Bay, while Virgin Radio Italy will follow all the activities live with interviews to riders and dedicated shows.

The WorldSBK Paddock Show contains a spectacular display of the current WorldSBK machines, accompanied by video game consoles and a big screen projecting videos of the best action of this year’s championship and past races, as well as a stand where visitors can purchase official SBK® merchandise.

Press/Trade days at EICMA are Tuesday and Wednesday with the show open to the general public from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November.
